MEETING POINT

COURMAYEUR OR CHAMONIX

1° DAY

After a quick check of the material, we’ll take the SkyWay to Punta Helbronner or the cable car to the Aiguille du Midi. Here, the descents begins, so we’ll put on the skis and we’ll go down for a part of the Vallée Blanche. Then, we’ll put the skins to start the climb on the Périades glacier until the base of the couloir. Here, we’ll take off the skis to use the crampons. We’ll climb until a little pass and then with two short abseils we’ll reach the Mont Mallet glacier. At this moment, we’ll go down to Chamonix under one iconic mountain: the Grandes Jorasses. According to the conditions, we’ll go skiing until Chamonix, or we’ll take the little train of Montenvers that leads to Chamonix. If your trip had started from Courmayeur, you’ll come back by pullman or taxi.
