BOOKING SUMMARY
Located about 300 km north of the Arctic Circle, Senja offers one of Norway’s most distinctive ski touring environments: mountains descending directly towards the sea, deep fjords, small villages and a light that changes continuously throughout the day.
During the week, the different areas of the island are explored, choosing each day the most suitable outing according to snow and weather conditions. Although the summits are not particularly high, Senja offers itineraries of very different levels of complexity, and this variety makes it possible to build a program suited to skiers with different experience and expectations.
The logistics include arrival and departure from Tromsø, transfer to Senja by rental car and accommodation in a fjord-front apartment. This choice makes it possible to move quickly between the different areas of the island and adapt each day to the best available conditions.
Day 1 – Arrival in Tromsø

Day 2 – Transfer to Senja and first outing

Days 3–6 – Ski touring in Senja

Each evening, the program for the following day will be assessed according to snow and weather conditions, choosing each time the most suitable itinerary.
Possible objectives include summits such as Store Hesten, Tredje Svanfjell, Kvænan, Lonketind and Keipen.
Day 7 – Ski touring and return to Tromsø
Last ski touring day in Senja.
At the end of the activity, return to Tromsø and overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 8 – Return

Accommodation
The program includes seven nights in total: five nights in an apartment in Senja and two nights in a hotel in Tromsø, at the beginning and at the end of the trip.
The accommodation planned in Senja is in shared rooms.
For private groups, different accommodation solutions can be arranged, such as independent apartments or higher-category accommodation, with a possible adjustment of the package cost.
Good ski touring experience and autonomy in ascent and descent techniques are required.
The days can be very different from one another, with indicative elevation gains generally between 800 and 1,200 metres. The program is adapted to conditions, group level and participants’ expectations.
This trip is not designed for those approaching ski touring for the first time, but it allows for different interpretations depending on the experience of the group.
